Make an audio CD for a traditional CD player

Choose an audio disc, not a folder of MP3s

Copying MP3 files onto a data CD creates a different kind of disc, which a basic CD player may not read. For a traditional music disc, use Create Audio CD and check the running time against your blank CD's capacity. You need a compatible CD writer and writable CD media.

Build and burn the tracks

1. Open Audio & Music Wizard in SpeedBurn Disc Maker, then choose Create Audio CD.
2. Use Add Tracks to select the music. Review the track list, playback and total duration before continuing.
3. Select the target writer and a write speed supported by the drive and blank disc. Choose where to save the audio CD image.
4. Enable Also burn to disc if you want to write a physical CD; otherwise the task only builds the BIN/CUE image.
5. Choose Next, review the summary and click Start. Let the operation finish, then test the CD in the player you plan to use.

When the playlist is too long

Remove a track or shorten the source audio before starting again. Reducing an MP3 file's bitrate does not create more playing time on a conventional audio CD. For a player that supports MP3 data discs, Copy Music to Disc is a separate option.
